Saw online review on this place and decided to go for it. We initially had some confusion as to whether we need to take a boat or could walk there. They clarified with us given that as we came in september the main starfish beach has high tide and not possible to see anything if we walk. This is only accessible from october to april. We had to take a boat to another side of the beach to see the starfish. And great choice! Our kids love th boat ride over and had great fun looking at the starfish. We came back for lunch and ordered seafood and crab fried rice. Food was fresh and awesome. I love the mantis shrimp and the scallop. The sea urchin is much smaller and not quite the kind from Japan that we are used to. The crab fried rice is awesome and my 2 kids love it. Price is transparent and affordable. Highly recommended!
Great service. The staff here are very enthusiastic and honest, introducing delicious and fun things. The seafood is delicious and fresh, cooked very well. You can also go to the beach to see the beautiful starfish!! Highly recommend the house on the beach

Joined “Fisherman experience” today with An (the fisherman’s son), he is super friendly and shows us how to fishing.
We went to a private beach for lunch and swim, seafood is fresh and delicious. We have a great time today. If you want to get away from the crowd and back to the nature, highly recommend!!

The people here are extremely friendly, cool, there are hammocks to rest comfortably, the food is delicious. I would like to suggest that there should be trash bins at each table, tied firmly to the table legs, because the sea wind blows strongly, leaving trash on the table flying into the sea looks messy. The restaurant is great, paying attention to this trash disposal issue is also very good. P/S: The crab sauce is very delicious. I bought 2 jars to eat but unfortunately I bought too little kaka

Too many compliments, I add 5 more stars to support the restaurant to continue to improve the service better and more thoughtful with many expectations. I appreciate the sincerity of the waiters in guiding the ordering of food, the canoe is also enthusiastic. I will definitely come back to experience the seafood dishes and give feedback later. I attached the menu price information with photos. Canoe to the rock beach is 200k per person round trip, renting a deck chair is 50k per person, fresh water shower is 20k.
This place is amazing! We were looking for starfish beach and luckily we ended up here. This really made our day. The staff is so sweet and they want to show you all the fish they catch. And most importantly the food was very delicious. We had the catch of the day which was perfectly grilled, the mango salad with dried fish was also very tasty. Additionally, we had the best fried rice of Vietnam here. Really recommend going here even if you have to make a little detour for this place! 😍
The way to the restaurant is not too difficult, you will go through a red dirt road, soft dirt on rainy days. The food is very delicious, the price is not cheap but not expensive. The scenery is very poetic, there are hammocks available for those who like to lie down and chill
We went for the Fisherman’s experience tour. This is a family run business which I am very impressed with. The service was impeccable from the beginning till the end. Joy was the person whom I was messaging before my trip to arrange. She answered all my queries and also asked if I needed transport to and fro my hotel, which we took it because based from the map, I think we will have difficulties trying to get a grab.
I believe our driver, Mr Money, was also their friend and all of us set out together on the fishing experience, allowing me to feel the closeness of what we call “kampung spirit” in my country.
While waiting for them to load up the boat, two young girls scooped up some sea urchins for us to take photos with, they were very friendly and explained to us how to avoid getting hurt from handling the sea urchins.
Our guide was An, he instructed very clearly on how to use different rods/reels to catch fish. Although our catches were small fishes, I enjoyed the reel fishing. One of our crew member went diving for scallops and sea urchins for us, they managed to catch some bigger fishes while they were diving for shellfish.
While we were fishing, they prepped sashimi sea urchins and one of a fish that is famous for sashimi for my bro and father, needless to say, they enjoyed it a lot. They even bring wasabi and lemon for the sashimi experience.
After which, we headed to an island where they cooked our dinner. Freshest seafood ever, since some of the seafood were the ones just freshly caught. They cutely set up a picnic mat and table, brought along some cold drinks, various sauces, some of it were made by their mum (I believe she’s the restaurant chef). She also cooked fried rice and pomfret fish for us to have it for dinner. Hands down one of the best food I’ve tasted.
At dinner, a crew gifted me and my bro with a present each, handmade by him. He was very meticulous and knew exactly what we would appreciate. He gave my bro a handmade necklace which my bro loves it so much while he made a bottle of seashell collections for me to admire. I think he is very observant and knows how to read character very well because both of us really appreciate what he picked for us. So very different and something so accurately specific to our likings.
Then we went for squid fishing after sunset, despite being informed by Joy that it wasn’t squid fishing season, they still took us out to attempt. An managed to catch one but the rest of us weren’t that lucky. After trying out 3 different spots, we went back to the restaurant and Mr Money drove us back to our hotel, concluding our fisherman’s experience.
We really enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, had the freshest seafood and experience the humble life of a fisherman. I highly recommend anyone who wants an immersive cultural experience when they visit Phu Quoc island. Thank you Joy Adventures for this experience!

Ngoc is very nice. She didn't ask me to rate her like other shops, but I understand that I wanted to do this for her. John doesn't talk much but is very obedient, he does everything enthusiastically. The canoe driver is also cute and gentle. The whole team is very pleasant. Good experience. The raft house is famous for many people, so it's easy to group together to go on a cheap canoe, the average food is 120-140, seafood is seasonal (150k-March 2025).

Family restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and delicious food. We ordered grilled prawns and they were absolutely delicious. Anh (the guy who hosted us) was nice and spoke good English and entertained us with his company while we waited for taxi. I’d definitely recommend visiting the place around the sunset and try out super fresh seafood.
I booked a fisherman’s experience tour with Joy and her family and had the best time. I was basically fishing my own scallops dinner and spent hours in the village, experiencing different feats of the local fishing techniques. There is a great non-touristic vibe that made it a real discovery for me on Phu Quoc. I can highly recommend it!

One of the most "local" restaurants in Phu Quoc. We feel so warm by the care of Ngoc the owner and her family. All 4 of us has the feeling of coming to a friend's home.

After visiting the Pepper Country Farm, which was conveniently just a 15-minute scooter ride away, we decided to stop by for lunch. The day was particularly windy, so we opted out of taking the boat to Starfish Beach. Instead, we had the pleasure of chatting with Jonathan and his girlfriend Joy, the warm and welcoming owners of this unique establishment. What makes their setup truly remarkable is that they actually live on the water, a detail that adds to the charm and allure of the experience.
Reaching the restaurant is an adventure in itself. The approach involves walking along a 200-meter-long wooden bridge—uneven and full of character—which perfectly encapsulates the authenticity of traditional Vietnamese life by the sea. It felt like stepping into a different world.
For our meal, we chose the silver pomfret fish, served with tomatoes and steamed rice. It arrived beautifully presented in the classic Vietnamese style, and we were delighted by its simplicity and flavor. The fish was tender, easy to eat with minimal bones, and absolutely delicious. Initially, we were the only diners, as the blustery weather had likely kept others away. However, a group of five arrived shortly after, and their presence only added to the atmosphere—our private, tranquil lunch spot came alive with a gentle hum of activity.
I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone exploring the area. On a calmer day, the boat trip to Starfish Beach would undoubtedly enhance the experience, and I hope to return to try it myself when the weather is more agreeable.

Very nice and relaxed atmosphere, the food was very tasty, we enjoyed 'fish of the day' deliciously prepared with fresh tomato salsa. The owner showed us all kinds of fish that live in the nets. Highly recommended to eat here or have a nice drink.

We had the best iced coffee of our entire trip in this restaurant. There is also a wonderful ambience in the stilt house.

The sea water was very clean, the service was friendly and fluent in English, and the transfer to see the starfish was also great.
Order your meal first and then go out to see the starfish. Then you can have your meal when you come back👍👍👍

It's been since May and it's only now coming up to review. The food is delicious and cheap, the owner is very cute. You should go in the morning, but if you go in the evening, you can stay here 😅

Nice experience. Food is eager willing to try after this review, the price is affordable. I came too late to enjoy Starfish beach. We were supported to visit FREE a while and the day after we should come back if we be still interested in the beach. The second thing that I forgot my handbag over the island. We read about this restaurant and were excited to visit. They not only met, but exceeded our expectations. The crab fried rice is insanely delicious with a good amount of crab meat. The Chom scallops, which were grilled next to us, are also on point. Highly recommended on food alone.
